Heavenly Holidays

Tonight the Women’s Ministry at our church hosted an event called “Heavenly Holidays”.   It takes place before the holidays kick in full force so that women can be renewed and focused on Christ for the upcoming holidays. There was a catered dinner with a guest speaker.  Various women will “host” at table and decorate it with their Thanksgiving or Christmas finery (is that an appropriate word?).  Although our Preschool Minister did do a “Western” theme in honor of next summer’s VBS (she’s been learning the songs and reviewing the material this week). Mom (and kinda Jamie and I) hosted a table this year so here are some pictures  I took this evening of the table.

My great-grandfather was a doctor and Mom has his apothecary jars – we had lots of fun pulling them down and filling them with ornaments.

Lots of fun – and I will admit that I don’t plan on putting these decorations back in the box!
