We are home…but wish we weren’t…

We are home safe and sound after our boating trip with friends to Bull Shoals, AR…  however if the guys had their way we would still be on the lake.  We all had a great time!  NW Arkansas is beautiful and green.  Mr. G didn’t get to enjoy too much of the drive because he was concentrating on those  curvy roads.

Boating season hadn’t really started, so it seemed like we had the lake to ourselves. We had chilly water (72 degrees) but lots of it (it was 9 feet over normal level) so we were out there enjoying the time we had.  It did get chilly our last day there – this was the first time I ever went boating wearing jeans and a sweatshirt. It actually wasn’t weird… i guess kinda a mindset of “when at the lake, be out on the lake” 🙂                                                                      hills

We had a great, relaxing time and managed to squeeze in a little fishing, a trip to the biggest Wal-Mart in the world (6 acres… I Googled and the average Super Center if 4 acres), devoured two containers of hummus and snuck in some McDonald’s (in my mind, no vacation is complete without a double cheeseburger. What can I say? I enjoy the simple -and unhealthy- things in life).boating in jackets
