We had a chance to take a quick trip to Paris and jumped on it. Our first day was a short one and included conquering the Metro (Mr. G did that… it took me a lot longer), visiting Sacre-Coeur, and eating at McDonald’s.
Sacre-Coeur Basilica sit on the highest hill of Paris and for the rest of our trip we saw the church from different parts of the city.
It was actually quite a hike to get up to the church itself.
Then, after all of those stairs, we climbed up another 300 steps to the top of the dome to see the view of the city. It was worth the climb!
And dinner was McDonald’s… it was high on my list of touristy things to do! We discovered that in France there are two kinds of fries – we liked them both, but the mayonnaise mixture that the French seem to like.
